Haijian Cao, China

My name is Haijian Cao. I’m a junior student majoring in computer science at Ball State University. I have some experience in Web sites design and doing research in programming in JAVA. For my food story, I can tell that I cook delicious Chinese food. I hope I can help to make our group better and better.

I was born in Jiangsu province, which is located in eastern China. In my opinion, no one will reject Chinese food, no matter where anyone is any place in the world. As I know, there are several different Chinese foods in China. For my hometown, seafood cooked in Chinese style is very famous.

It is the first time I came to the United States, and it also is the first time that I must cook for myself. In China I normally eat in the school dining room or in the university food center. After I came to United States one year ago, I learned to cook myself, and now I can cook very nice food. During the holidays, I always invite my friends to my house to share the food together. I love cooking.

The food in the United States is very different from food in China. People here like beef more than pork, and also I began to know food from other countries, such as Italian food, Japanese food and so on. All these nice foods attracted me to join the food program Business Fellows group.
